(68,488 posts)If that happens, we will need to have it on GD. How could we not?
I'm literally skipping over gun posts by the gun lovers because in my experience they post the same misleading and outright lies about gun violence in this and other countries around the world over and over again. And I am thoroughly tired of seeing the same old photos, diagrams, etc that they compulsively LOVE to post.
We need a LIST of ideal gun control measures we can take now and put on the national agenda. I do not know enough about those measures but I know there are those here who do. Let's see what measures we can all get behind and PUSH hard for passage into law.

(68,488 posts)blown discussion of gun control measures being promoted will try looking in GD and seeing nothing, will think DU isn't on board. I don't want us to be relegated to a little nook somewhere...
What do you think?

Real policy discussions must be made in the light of day. You will find little light there. Moving policy there would be like moving all our political discussion to Free Republic.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
