Texas v. it's kind of ridiculous to burn a flag in protest when it's legal to do so. But if it were ever made illegal, burning one would be an apt protest. An executive order, though, does not automatically convey illegality, especially in a case like this that defies decades of Supreme Court decisions.

This would be a great test case with any other SCOTUS. I wouldn't trust this one to uphold precedence in something of a "monkey trial," though. Still, I wish I had the fortitude to face the consequences that might come from being the flag-burning defendant.
