Former USC quarterback Mark Sanchez arrested for alleged role in stabbing

Former USC quarterback and current Fox NFL analyst Mark Sanchez was stabbed early Saturday morning and was later arrested at an Indianapolis hospital for his alleged role in the incident.

Fox Sports said in a statement that Sanchez is recovering and in stable condition.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time,” the Fox Sports statement read.

Sanchez, who was Indianapolis ahead of an assignment to cover the Raiders-Colts game, was injured following a fight in downtown Indianapolis at around 12:30 a.m.

I have no idea if it's true, but given that Sanchez was arrested "for his part in the incident", I would bet that he assaulted the other guy first, who responded by stabbing him.

The police report just came, according to IMPD police narrative. A individual was delivering food to the address where Sanchez was. Sanchez told the driver he couldn’t be where he was and when the driver tried to move past Sanchez, Sanchez attacked him. The delivery driver tried to get away by using mace, but it didn’t work so he then defended himself with a knife.
