Seems like a legal slam dunk, but there I go again thinking we're in normal times. Trump sending the Texas National guard to Chicago when Gov. Pritzker never asked Abbot to do is beyond outrageous.

In that case the president didnt just command the state guard without the governors approval
it was in direct opposition to the governor trying to use the guard in the opposite direction.
But they have to either be aiding the enforcement of federal law or protecting federal interests (e.g., property)
