Is there a link to a simple breakdown of how Republicans can get around filibuster?

The nuclear option is one, but can’t they use budget reconciliation too? Either way, they don’t need Democratic votes.

1. The only way to get around it is to eliminate it.

Reconciliation has very limited usage.

2. Reconciliation is limited to once per fiscal year

It’s really one per type (tax/spend/debt limit)

The new fiscal year just started… but reconciliation requires first passing a budget resolution direction each of the committees to work with certain numbers.

That may be why they’re pushing for just a seven week CR. It would give them time to get more of what they want by bypassing a filibuster.

It would be really helpful if there was a link that breaks this down. I am helping a candidate in a local election this year, and "obstructionist" democrats has come up. If I can provide a simple explanation of ways the Republicans could get around this filibuster, which means they are solely responsible for the shut down, then that would help this candidate.
