Dolly Partons sister asks for prayers amid country legends health challenges"I want to clear something up," Freida, 68, wrote in a social media post on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 7. "I didnt mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly."
Freida went on to clarify that Dolly has "been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister."
She then thanked Dolly's fans for "lifting her up." adding that their love "truly makes a difference."
Fears are growing for Dolly Partons health after the country music superstar cancelled shows and her sister posted an emotional message to fans on social media on Wednesday morning (AEDT).
Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly, Frieda Parton posted on her Facebook page.
Many of you know she hasnt been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.
Shes strong, shes loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart shes going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you! , Frieda Parton wrote.

(30,275 posts)Dolly is one of those good people you think should live forever. She's down to earth, caring, humble, and generous, with a voice like an angel. I remember when I was a little kid, and watched, "The Porter Wagner," show with my Mom on our little black and white TV. I think she was all of 16, and I thought she was just beautiful.
I just got her new DVD, "Rock Star." Totally awesome!
Be well, Dolly. We love you, and need you to continue your good works.

(596 posts)has graced the world with enormous charitable giving and acts of pure kindness. Think of the hundreds of millions of free books that her Imagination Library has given to children for the first five years of their lives. Oh how I hope she can rally and get well. I appreciate you posting this.
