Between this and the AK post, you have the makings of one for sure.

Let me remind you that the governor is ANDY BESHEAR, a proud Democrat and someone who is often mentioned when possible candidates for 2028 are discussed. It's been leaning towards purple recently. Lexington and Louisville are pretty reliably blue. So take your post and fold it several ways and I'll leave the rest of it up to you.

My mother's forebears were among some early settlers there. They were Armstrongs and Lapsleys who settled in central KY below Harrodsburg near a small settlement called McAfee in the very early 1800s. If I'm not mistaken, they were among the founders of the county. The church where my grandparents were married is still standing.

I really liked it there. It was at a life period when I wasn't really monitoring politics, so I have no comment there. I lived in a great community in North Kentucky. Great neighborhood that I considered really diverse at the time. A lesbian couple across the street and a lot of Japanese in the area. The state itself is beautiful. The only thing that got to me was the lack of Sunny days in the winter. Cincinnati was close and there were definitely some rough spots over there where you had to be careful. The Bluegrass was great and that is when I got into Bourbon.
