does touch Canada, but that's a hell of a lot longer than 100 miles.

(2,527 posts)As far as the enforcement zone is concerned. This isn't new. The justification has always been that a boat can travel from Canada to anywhere on the shores of Lake Michigan without stopping at any controlled access point.

These external boundaries include international land borders but also the entire U.S. coastline.
