And People Are Genuinely Concerned For Our Nation's FutureKaroline Leavitt was mocked on Monday for what critics online have previously dubbed MAGA Math.
The White House press secretary fully embraced her boss habit of mathematically impossible bragging when she repeated President Donald Trumps claim that his administration was forcing pharma companies to reduce drug prices by more than 100%.
Leavitt didnt go quite as high as Trumps past boasts of slashing prices by 1,200, 1,300, 1,400, 1,500%.
But she did insist they were going to be lowered by 200, 300, 100%.

(31,980 posts)If you receive 200 percent off the list price, the final price is negative. A negative price means the seller would pay you twice the original price to take the item. In reality, a legitimate 200% discount is not possible.
Mathematical calculation Let's use a list price of $100 as an example:
$100 times 200%(discount percentage) = $200 ( discount amount )
$100-$200 = -$100 (final price)
They would pay YOU $100 to purchase the item.
