VANCE-us Interruptus: Stephanopoulos cuts to a commercial as the couch humper is in mid-sentence.

ABC News host George Stephanopoulos was speaking with the vice president about bribery allegations against the MAGA administration’s Border Czar Tom Homan when the host interrupted Vance mid-sentence to announce the network would be cutting to commercial.

“I think the American people would benefit much more from [talking about the shutdown] than from you going down some weird left-wing rabbit hole where the facts clearly show that Tom Homan didn’t engage in any criminal wrongdoing,” Vance told Stephanopoulos on This Week.

The host shot back that their interview was by that point already almost over. “It’s not a weird left-wing rabbit hole! I didn’t insinuate anything, I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50,000 as was heard on an audio tape recorded by the FBI in September 2024, and you did not answer the question,” he said. “Thank you for your time this morning.”

“No, George, I said…” Vance attempted to counter, before Stephanopoulos told viewers, “We’ll be right back.”

5. I met GS in an elevator in my Georgetown apartment building.

I had my dog Napoleon with me, and we were on our way to take a walk when he got on.

I said not one word to him. I did briefly acknowledge him non-verbally, and before I could inhale, he stuck out his hand and said, "Yes. Yes, I am. George Stephanopoulos."

I was taken aback. I did not shake his hand. I didn't say a word and got off with Napoleon on the next floor knowing that I had just met the absolutely shortest and the most cocky man that I had ever met in my life. And I've met lots.

Of the hundreds of people that I've met in my lifetime, my opinion has survived for years, unchanged.

his wife rolled her eyes when he said that. Elevator at a costume ball (they were in black tie outfits...not costumes!). I was dressed as the Green Man/Cernunnos and she knew right away who i was (I think she's Welsh). She introduced herself as "Cat". Super nice. Stunningly gorgeous. Couldn't understand what she was doing with him.

11. If Vance wants to talk about

the shutdown, ask him why he won't agree to fund people's healthcare because in a couple weeks millions of people are going to see their ACA premiums double and it will be because the Republicans won't agree to continue funding for it, although they've just implemented a $400,000/year tax cut to Elon and very rich people like him.

It's kind of funny that Vance thinks that the shutdown would be a winning topic to switch to. He'd get slammed there too.
