(182,061 posts)Most Americans dont want to see judges impeached over anti-Trump rulings. A key House Republican said its on the table anyway.
Remember when several Republicans launched impeachment efforts against federal judges in response to rulings the White House didnât like?

Jim Jordan â the chair of the House Judiciary Committee â isnât ready to walk away from the idea. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan said impeachment of judges who issue stupid rulings thwarting President Trump is on the table, though he said Congress needs to explore other options first. ... Any impeachment proceedings would start in Mr. Jordans committee. He said that shouldnt be the first option for judges who have foiled Mr. Trump or otherwise issued troubling rulings, but its on the table as an eventual option.
The far-right Ohio Republican and Trump loyalist didnt indicate plans to try to impeach jurists anytime soon, but he told the conservative newspaper, I dont think you should rule out impeachment.......
There was, of course, no evidence in support of any of this rhetoric. Nevertheless, a group of congressional Republicans apparently interpreted Trumps appeal as a directive and got to work introducing impeachment resolutions against judges whove ruled in ways the White House didnt like.
Indeed, the list grew quickly. Over the course of a few weeks, GOP impeachment resolutions were filed against U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, U.S. District Court Judge Paul Engelmayer, U.S. District Court Judge John Bates, U.S. District Court Judge Amir Ali, U.S. District Court Judge John McConnell Jr., U.S. District Court Judge Theodore Chuang, and later, U.S. District Court Judge Charles Breyer. (Technically, Engelmayer is facing two parallel impeachment measures simultaneously.)....
In April, a Marquette University Law School poll found that 70% of Americans opposed impeaching federal judges over anti-Trump rulings. There is, however, often a big gap between what the public wants and what Republican officials decide to do. Watch this space.

You, you lying fuck, and your administration are ALL doing Satans work.
I know freedom of religion is welcomed, but worshipping Satan, and demanding we all do, is a line crossed, when you legislate it.

The Ohio congressman appeared on State of the Union Sunday, and got into a heated debate with CNN host Bash over the DOJs current warpath against Donald Trumps enemies.
At one point, Bash asked Jordan to put his attorney cap on and consider whether the presidents actions were actually working to undermine the importance of the DOJand while Jordan was happy to take on the attorney role, viewers at home were quick to point out that he had no right to.
While Jordan attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, he never sat for the bar exam to become a licensed attorney
