Still, he raised the prospect of a peace deal with Iran, asking his audience in the Knesset “you know what would be great, if we could make a peace deal with them, would you be happy with that?” He followed the thought by saying that brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine would take priority.

3. Hamas got everything they wanted in Phase 1 of the peace deal

They got a ceasefire, an end to the Israeli blockade of aid, and a 100-1 hostage swap (2000 for 20). They did not disarm, nor did they agree to the bizarre Tony Blair mandate government.

Whether they follow through on Phase 2 at all (disarmament, international monitoring and control of Gaza) will determine whether Trump was successful in this deal. If they blow off Phase 2, it pretty much means that they fought the Israelis to a stalemate and took what they needed from the Trump deal while ignoring anything they didn't want.
