Who is pulling Trump's chain in regard to using military force in blue cities?

I know it's not like Trump needs to be convinced to use military force against civilians. He's already halfway there. It's part of the Project 2025 plan. But I imagine that he knows he needs a proper cause in order to do it. Which is why I think someone from his inner circle is feeding him bullshit about blue cities falling into chaos, with rioting in the streets. I mean, listen to him.

“In Portland, Oregon, antifa thugs have repeatedly attacked our offices and laid siege to federal property in an attempt to violently stop the execution of federal law.”

We all know this is not true. Even Trump knows it isn't true:

“I spoke to the governor; she was very nice. But I said, ‘Well, wait a minute; am I watching things on television that are different from what’s happening? My people tell me different. They are literally attacking and there are fires all over the place. It looks like terrible.’”

At least to me, it's obvious what's happening. Mentally and politically, Trump is already radicalized for a take-over, but he knows he needs to present data to the public to justify a mass take-over. And it seems that each time, the people who present him with this evidence comes from his staff.

So, this is the malignancy we're dealing with: There is a self-fulfilling back and forth going on between Trump and his inner circle. He wants to use military force and take over and his Administration uses misinformation to help him pull the trigger.

Trump has one Achille's heel: The right-wing news media. They don't seem to be playing along. Not as a group. There are media heads who are calling things differently than the White House would like. This might be our only salve. I suggest our side blare the clips whenever this happens.

Add the other right-wing media hellholes, Stephen Miller and Russell Vought and Kristi Noem, and you have the entire federal government. Pathetic, but that's where we are.
