https://www.rawstory.com/ice-children-teens-taken/According to the boy's lawyer, Andrew Lattarulo, there was an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department, and the boy's mother was called to come and pick him up. However, when she went to the police department, after waiting, she was told that ICE had taken him, Josiele Berto told the Boston Globe in an interview
"The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States," the report said, citing the family's lawyer.

I don't know the story behind the asylum; but I do know killing and kidnapping children in Brazil is an absolute horrifying occurrence and it just does not happen.
It would be a national movement for retribution for any harm committed to minors.
On the other hand, it is now becoming a new life reality recently in the U.S.
Poor little fella. Hope he gets out of the detention asap.
