I want to know when our civilian law enforcement is going to start protecting us.

They are sworn to serve and protect the citizens of their jurisdiction, be it city, county or state. Yet ICE is running around kidnapping citizens off the streets, threatening, beating even shooting us day after day. This has got to be stopped. Charge them with assault, attempted murder, kidnapping...whatever fits. When they spend a few nights in Cook County jail, this might just end.

The police would have to know who to arrest, and for that it seems they would have to be on the scene when these crimes happen!

Federal LEO can not be arrested by local LEO while the federals are doing their job of arresting people who broke federal immigration laws.

That is violation of existing law and are subject to deportation. My understanding is ICE is mainly going after individuals who have committed additional offenses. During their raids if they find individuals without valid visa, existing law allows them to arrest & deport them. The law needs to be changed. Lack of visa should not be deportable.

In the 'When The Regime Falls' bucket.

Either local LEO arrest them or citizens do. If I were them - I'd prefer actually police officers in my Borough. They are nice. The folks in the chat? They are not.

Local LEO's who live in their communities/counties have little incentive to cooperate with federal leo's from this administration, when they see the overall harm such cooperation does. That little bit can arguably do its part to contribute to 'regime fall.'

Has anyone heard ANY lawmaker (Congress) - or even the President - talk about DOING SOMETHING about how we Americans are being SCAMMED, by International actors (they actually have call centers that do this in India that operate over night while America is awake. It is not just India, it is Pakistan and other countries, it is very wide-spread) to the tune of Tens of Billions a Year, stolen from mostly seniors? [please pardon the run-on sentence)

It is a Crime that Goes UN-punished. Grandpa reports it to his local police? They can't do anything because it is occurring in another country. If you report it to the (ex., Indian) local authorities? Same thing, and worse, they are known to be corrupt and taking bribes. (we are not far from that ourselves)

So it just keeps getting worse and worse. You have to practically wear a shield against scammers. Email, Texts, Phone Calls, even in snail mail. It is coming at us from EVERY angle.

Here are some suggestions, not just whining: We need to Educate our society, especially our Elders, and we need our Congress to do some Lawmaking, Put some protections out there against this assault. Another thing, more Cooperation with these other countries for Law Enforcement.

And not one Congress Critter that I have heard has talked about this.

/rant over. Thanks for listening. How this relates to current events: Real issues are not being dealt with while they all jack off to the ultra cruelty and racism.

IL's governor has told state, county, and city law enforcement not to help ICE and to stand back. Why? So that there will be no mistake about the evidence that he's having collected on ICE. Police can't throw federal enforcers in jail. Even when and where the feds don't occupy a city, police and the courts have ruled that citizens can have no reasonable expectation that police are to protect them. Police are protectors of money and property first, humans second.

poor innocent citizens vehicle. In one they hit a woman's car and then jumped out and dragged her out of the car and kidnapped her!
claiming she hit them on purpose. Who in this country could expect to be abducted for a fender bender before Trump?

Some of the damage looked like it would be thousands to fix. Anybody else do this would get a visit from the cops and charged.

This brutal activity by their secret police force may be designed to invoke reprisals against them. If that starts happening, then you-know-who will have his excuse to invoke Martial Law.

And No! I am not "calling for violence"...it's just painfully obvious that a shit-ton of these ICE, Border Patrol, Homeland Security fucksticks, have been culled from the ranks of the Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, Jan 6 Seditionists, and a host of other cookie-cutter Reich Wing racist, fascist violent extremist groups.

At some point, you would think local law enforcement would at least ask for identification, badge number, jurisdiction, agency...etc.

Fuck! The majority are in unmarked cars with out of town plates, or in some cases, no plates.

The reason I think things get bloody is this.

Suppose Dems sweep the 2026 midterms and capture the White House in 2028. I have just one question:

Who is going to disarm all these asspickles running amok all over America?

Will it require military action?
Will local law enforcement do it?
The FBI?
Sane Americans?

The genie is out of the fucking bottle.

Someone explain to me how it's going to be "peacefully" put back in.

Maybe the Supreme Court has provided a road map.

The next president would be fully justified to fire all federal law enforcement officers, and dismiss military leadership in all branches down to the E5 level.

It would probably be easier to just blow the entire structure of law enforcement and the military and start over, than it will be to fix the shitshow we are witnessing now.

So, there's not a lot of pushing toward keeping the ICE cops under control. The locals are on the same side, generally.
