Establishment old-guard vs. Progressive new-wave Democrats

Whoever wins will be a better candidate for having earned it.

2. She can win!!

Dems need a proven statewide winner to unseat Susan Collins. Dems need 4 seats to retake the Senate gavel. This is one of them!! And hey, she is like you said, 77 years old. She'll be a one termer. Heck, she may even retire mid term and then the D governor can appoint a younger progressive who will then be the incumbent in the next election. That sounds like a good plan to me!!

4. I would agree with that, but then

the new-age progressive generation coming up should have seized power several elections ago, except that they’ve proven their inability to show up at the polls in numbers sufficient to take the power that is rightfully theirs.
This, of course, does not include. MY fellow DU members who are actively participating in the political process. As a member of the ‘old guard’, I’ve been anxiously waiting for the younger generations to step up and claim their future.
