Two weeks into the government shutdown, the Trump administration has frozen or canceled nearly $28 billion that had been reserved for more than 200 projects primarily located in Democratic-led cities, congressional districts and states, according to an analysis by The New York Times.

1. Starved of the federal funds, Blue States have choices to make, dilemmas.

2. Blue States can cut programs that are needed and popular.

3. Or Blue States can raise state taxes.

4. Blue State governors and legislators become unpopular because they get the blame for their states' declines, not Trump.

5. In protest, voters vote against their interests, IOW Republicans, who promise to improve their lot.
