He is the protege of Rehnquist who was clerk to Robert Jackson who wanted to continue with segregation. Rehnquist also was cited for voter suppression in AZ.

you use ideologies and not parties. Always use conservatives and liberals.. It is more accurate.

discussing topics like race.

Democrats where I grew up in 1950s were the biggest and most hateful racists in history. Thank gawd it changed. GOPers weren't any better, they just didn't have to fly confederate flags at campaign events, support lynchings, promote discrimination, and worse, to get votes.
