Demonstrates the double standard of the press, but also the double-standard of the voters.

I just witnessed Virginia Dems "pearl clutching" about some 5 year old private texts from the Dem Attorney General candidate, where he privately vented and said some disgusting things about the one-time Retrumplican Leader of the Virginia House.

It was almost like he had been raised in the era of social media.

Of course, this caused some Retrumplican underwear twisting. Oh the horror! What vile political rhetoric!

The titular head of the Retrumplican Party puts his vile, violent rhetoric right out there in public view. Hell, he even takes violent actions...NOT just words.

He won't lose a single Retrumplican vote.

Meanwhile, some Dem voters are ready to throw a candidate under the bus, helping a Returdlican AG win, who will; support an abortion ban in Virginia, stand by and cheer National Guard troops being sent to Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke and other cities in Virginia; and rubber stamp EVERY VILE thing Donnie Dipshit wants.

I will give the Dem AG credit. He did something NO vile Retrumplican would ever do...he took ownership and apologized profusely. No excuses. No "but the other side". No! He just took responsibility and apologized.

I hope Democratic voters have learned something from this current authoritarian shitshow we are experiencing.

VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT WILL DO THE JOB YOU WANT DONE!

I am fucking tired of Democratic voters being the ONLY fucking voters that hold their candidates accountable.

This story about the Nazi rape fantasies of nation-wide Young Retrumplicans AND fucksticks actually on state and national Retrumplican Staffs will fizzle out in the press soon.

You know why? Because the "press" knows that this story won't cost Retrumplicans a single vote.

This is a feature, not a bug. It's not really "news", is it?

3. The problem is, the press would turn this into a national story if it were a Dem

and every Dem, from Senator, to Governor, to County Coroner would be hounded to "comment" on it.

The press does this, because MORE THAN ANYTHING, they want to show they have impact, influence and relevance.

They know pressing Retrumplicans about this WILL NOT COST RETRUMPLICANS A SINGLE, SOLITARY VOTER. They know that Democratic Voters hold their candidates to a higher standard.

All the press cares about is that they cause a 2-3% drop in Dem voters.
