McDonald's cooking on Thursday? Congress should immediately investigate! Oh, wait, Johnson has them on a vacation over Epstein.

it provides maximum stress to those being indicted. They have to stew about it all weekend, maybe panic a bit, until they can hire attorneys come Monday. Part of the fun for Trump is knowing people are suffering. He is a sadistic sociopath.
It's like the too oft practice of some companies to fire or lay off people on Friday. It's cruel but also damned foolish. A fired or laid off employee given all weekend to rage can literally end in unplanned pay back to the cruel employer. Most thinking employers would wait til Monday morning, so the let go employee(s) can immediately start job search instead of drinking and plotting revenge over a weekend.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
