A Miami man claiming to be a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent was arrested for allegedly driving drunk in the Florida Keys while he had two young children in his vehicle, deputies said.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said they had arrested 42-year-old Scott Thomas Deiseroth of Miami on Wednesday afternoon after another motorist called to report his reckless driving. He is currently in jail and facing a DUI charge, along with two counts of child endangerment, authorities said.
Deputies said Deiseroth identified himself as an ICE agent during the traffic stop. CBS News Miami reached out to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and a spokesperson with the agency said they were not aware of the arrest and were investigating it.

(53,546 posts)That dumb ICE guy acts like he is going to get off because he is a fellow "law enforcement officer". Kudos to the very impressive and patient cop!

(320,554 posts)impressive! I kept wanting to see what he looked like.
That was Intense! "Scott" acted like a belligerent drunk.. much safter for the kids that he was pulled over.
Nice to know that there are cops like him. He even was considerate enough to not let the kids see their dad in handcuffs.
Being the guy was seen driving recklessly, there's a definite possibility that he would have gotten into an accident and the children could have been injured or even killed. What a piece of shit father he is and I'm sure he was not a model husband either.

(58,374 posts)Because Trump removed TPS (Temporary Protected Status) from Haitian refugees. Unreal how arrogant these ICEholes are.
Well, his "b****--ass wife," as he calls her, will definitely get the kids in the divorce now.
The cop who gave him the field sobriety test, Lane, was really professional and patient. We need more Lanes. Less Scotts.

(320,554 posts)said to the Black cop.. the traffic noise made it heard to hear some of it on my laptop.
Oh wow... I didn't hear that about his wife, either..
Oh the Officer's name is "Lane"? I thought Scott kept saying :Lame"!
SunSeeker
(58,374 posts)But you did not need sound to see how drunk he was. He could barely stand, he kept leaning against his truck. And that attempt to walk heel-toe was pitiful. He was driving little kids in that condition! His wife will get custody for sure.

(320,554 posts)The officer in charge of the Tests was so patient and polite.. it was really interesting to see the self proclaimed ICE agent trying in vain to get out of being responsible for his actions.
And, Lane said a couple of times that he had been in that situation of being pulled over for DUI.
The Field Tests they have now look quite scientifically worked out.. including the questions that are asked.
I guess Breathalyzers aren't done anymore?
SunSeeker
(58,374 posts)Blood tests are more accurate than breathalyzer, and can test for drugs, not just alcohol like breathalyzer. But seems to me they can get a conviction just based on the roadside video. Scott admits he had "4 drinks," and he clearly failed the field sobriety tests.
Cha
(320,554 posts)tests.. Yes Much better.
Scott said he drank some "Kool aide", too.. and I'm like.. You sure Did, buster.
