Senators will force a vote to prevent war on Venezuela without approval from Congress

Senators will force a vote to prevent war on Venezuela without approval from Congress

Amid a wave of U.S. military strikes in the Caribbean and plans for covert operations in Venezuela, Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., is leading a bipartisan effort to force a vote to stop President Trump from unilaterally declaring war on the South American nation.

Kaine, a longtime proponent of Congress' powers to declare war, filed the resolution late Thursday, a move that will force the Senate to take up the legislation after a 10-day waiting period. Sens. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., co-sponsored the plan.

Kaine said concerns about war in the Latin American region are growing.

"The pace of the announcements, the authorization of covert activities and the military planning makes me think there's some chance this could be imminent," Kaine told reporters.

Venezuela and Russia are strong allies. They have conducted war games together off the coast of Venezuela. Venezuela is Russia's main Latin American ally in South America. Venezuela supported Russia starting the war in Ukraine and Russia supported the current Venezuelan president.

So why is Russia letting pedo Trump start hostilities with Venezuela? Are the two countries no longer allies? I at first thought the attacks were staged and that's why Putin hasn't objected. But there are claims of survivors in this last attack, so I'm not sure now.

It's also very strange the Nobel committee awarded the "peace" prize to Machado because of her involvement with the coupe against the government and other crimes. And her dedicating the prize to pedo Trump who is attacking private Venezuelan boats on a whim is a heartless stance. Even if they were drug runners, they don't deserve to be murdered. Seems the US Navy are bigger criminals than the supposed drug runners.

I feel like I'm missing a big piece of the puzzle.

Didn't he keep telling us in debates that Venezuela was a great place for tourists?

So, casinos and hotels for Venezuela too?

It's mostly the oil, but might as well grift with casinos and hotels.

Who is going to oppose the President when he goes to war to save the country from . . . . from . . . . from . . . . well, from something . . . you now . . . eight guys in an open boat with a couple of150HP outboards coming to invade Florida.

The country will rally around Trump and demand that he be elected President For Life, that Congress be disbanded, that Blacks go to the back of the bus, gays into the closet, and women back in the kitchen!!!!

You heard it here first.

I occasionally run into vocal Kirk worshipers. When I start quoting their false god, they recoil. Then I ask why they hide from Kirk's words. I have yet to hear an answer.
