From very red Leesville, Louisiana - No Kings

Held at the local Town Hall, around 50 people came together today to protest Trump. Last time people had to travel to Alexandria or Lake Charles but not today. Today, Leesville joined in (and that means No Kings is spreading to the entrenched rural strongholds).

Mostly older women (my age and older) and retired military as well as federal workers. A few young people.

People were smiling and laughing.

A few pics.

Organizers gave out signs and bandanas.

One pro-Trump jerk upset over Charlie Kirk with a FU sign on his truck.

Police were present.

2. I think so too. When small rural red towns can draw people to protest the Trump Regime and its enablers

you know the dissent is all over.

Leesville is the largest city in the Parish and without counting the local military population, that means a little over 5,000 people. I live in the smallest village in the Parish - 800 people.

And thousands of people validated their message.
IT'S REAL AND IT'S SPECTACULAR.

No Kings (not even sniveling oligarchs)

I greatly enjoyed the photos.

Was this a caption for the final photo? It never loaded for me! I suspect there's a lot of traffic on DU tonight.

that many people? Just wow.

Deeply red here - but Saturday gave me hope.

The retired military attendees were angry.

So were the federal workers - nervous about getting into trouble on Monday but determined to voice their dissent.

I know for a fact that supervisors drive by to see who is there.
