Prince Andrew sought to obtain personal information about his accuser Virginia Giuffre through his police protection in 2011, according to new media reports.
It comes after Ms Giuffre's brother called on King Charles III to strip Andrew of his "prince" title, following the announcement he would stop using his other titles.
Ms Giuffre said she was among the girls and young women sexually exploited by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his wealthy circle.
The Metropolitan Police said on Sunday it was "actively looking into the claims". Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.
Prince Andrew has not commented on the reports, but consistently denies all allegations against him.

Andrew shows the general sleaziness of those associated with Epstein, but everyone knew that. What happens to him isn't of that much interest in the USA; for Americans, it's about which politicians or other people of power were fellow pedos. The state of the British royal family, what may or may not happen to cover things up/sweep them under the carpet, and what this will mean for the reputation of the family and the state, is of more interest to the British media.
