Some called that a clean up of British and European enslavers, pirates and rapists but what do I know.

I kept the name and told a Jamaican friend. She called him a marauder. I read James Mitchener's Jamaica (it might have been a book on pirates), a little while later and it turned out Captain Morgan retired from being a pirate to become a slave owner. So I changed the cat's name.

(297,936 posts)That said I am sure folks in the hills of St Andrew or Bull Bay, St Thomas may have a view of Port Royal.
Its a great question because I know folks who live in Jacks Hill who watch planes land at Norman Manley Airport with binoculars, etc. Port Royal is behind the airport and I sure donr remember seeing it from there. If youre high enough in the St Andrew Hills you can see the Kingston Waterfront and airport.

(40,407 posts)The 1692 port royal earthquake is on my short list of dramatic earthquakes; I always think of it when I hear about earthquakes in you area, and the real possibility of earthquake liquefaction in the SF Bay Area.

malaise
(297,936 posts)Mild. The Jan 2017 really shook up my neighborhood and some walls had cracks and stuff broke. That was the worst one for me.
We also felt the one that destroyed Haiti in 2010 but nothing broke.
Today was a Meh and Im surprised to see reports coming from several parishes.

(103,806 posts)What other quakes they aren't reporting. They also have fucked up all the place names of countries, they won't dis[lay even when zoomed in, and don't show their borders correctly anymore.
I've noticed that all the weather maps are now limited to US boundaries only, have to go to private entities to get a more comprehensive view of the rest of the world.
I hate these fuckers and I want my country back, right fucking now.
