quarters for the President and his or her family. BTW the White House already has a perfectly

The East Wing was built in 1902. Which means many of the architectural features are irreplaceable. I'm seeing 123 year-old window sashes, most likely with original hand-rolled glass, scattered on the ground after being ripped out of walls with heavy equipment. There's no telling what other distinctive architectural treasures are being lost.
I wouldn't treat a 100 year-old Craftsman-style bungalow so cavalierly!
