We are in uncharted territory. Before you assume that the MAGA party "Can't" do something, think about what they have already done.

I think this shutdown will last a LOT longer than we think. That's IF the dems don't cave.

Krasnov invokes the insurrection act. He’ll label the shutdown as part of the insurrection. A judge in Illinois has issued a decision that ICE officers can be arrested for failing to obey court orders. The administration will then declare any such arrests to be an insurrection. Once the insurrection act is invoked Krasnov will presume that he can do anything, and the DOJ will simply defy Congress on releasing the Epstein files. Krasnov will then start acting like an autocrat and the country and the world will descend into chaos.
