(41,248 posts)All due respect, at this point the interests of the people at the rallies aren't really, um....Mutual Aid groups, Free Auto repair clinics, Community Gardening or Bake Sales
They're great links though. Especially the tenant/rent strike organizing
Thanks for posting

(27,227 posts)The point is, they could be.
People want to Do Something. They want to be useful. For many, simply calling their reps once a day doesn't feel like enough. The election is a long way off. Organizing around a simple item is a great antidote to despair, helps strengthen communities, and gets others involved. This document can be an entry point.

(41,248 posts)I'm sure many people at the rallies donate to charities, volunteer at food banks etc, but yes, making the leap from a rally to political power is something else entirely. The document is indeed a great entry point.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
