A new State Navigate poll in Virginia shows Abigail Spanberger with a 13-point lead to become the next governor, her widest lead yet in any public poll, 55% to 42%.

“Weighing down Republicans’ chances of winning in Virginia this year is, of course, President Trump. The President is deeply unpopular with likely voters this year: 40 percent say that they approve of how he is handling his job as president, while 59 percent say they disapprove, including 55 percent who disapprove strongly.”

2. I Just Saw A Spanberger Ad

Last night that featured "Crazy Eyes" Earle-Sears talking about killing women who've had abortions, and brandishing her AR-15. Now, they've been making political hay out of Jay Jones' admittedly stupid texts about wanting to shoot the VA Speaker of the House a few years ago, claiming that the Dems are all in on political violence, etc. But this turns the tables on Crazy Eyes.

Abbie Spanberger did remarkably well in her debate, from what I saw. Crazy Eyes kept interrupting and trying to bait her. Abbie, like the professional that she is, just kept quiet.

3. 694 likely voters. MOE 4% but it's at 97% total which is good.

4. Spanberger is a good fit for VA

Similar to other recently elected Virginia democrats (Kaine, Warner) — moderate, more policy wonkish, rather than splashy or very exciting.

And Earle-Sears is likely insane. Of course all those federal job losses aren’t helping republicans in Virginia.
