The last time the White House was destroyed was in 1814

By the British during the War of 1812. Now we have an American president destroying the White House.
I hope someone preserved the contents of the East Wing. Where is Dolley Madison when you need her?
This monster, this yawning maw of bottomless need for adoration and money is a stain on our history that we will never be able to wash away. I'm sick to my stomach.

The original Georgian concept of the red brick mansion with white trim was lovely and the white on white just never quite lived up to what it once was, but I guess painting over it was cheap and expedient.

Maybe his bloated, tacky, new money monstrosity will inspire a rebuild.

The People's House doesn't require a throne room, which is what he wants.
