(81,707 posts)And last time, Boston had well over a million.
So fucking sick of the goddam lies.
Truth be told, perhaps this most recent event drew a total of 21 - 25 mill. (Watch the daggers come out for me having dared to defy the lying media.)

(30,249 posts)Its based on both self reporting and crowd estimates by organizers on the ground. My moms retirement home had a No Kings March around their building, with a 100 year old woman leading the pack. There were about ten of them, Mom, 94, included. They reported in after the fact, with photographic proof. The crowd was counted by two measures, taking both counts and crunch them in some fashion. (I am not a statistician.)

(34,344 posts)The ones used to headcount in crowds. I wish they would make that standard practice. And we need to count the supporters in vehicles, too. Also some stay home because they have to for various reasons but they are supporters. They should be counted too!
Welcome to DU!

(20 posts)... I 100% agree with what you said.
I'm waiting to see what effect on the off year election next month.
And I'm very optimistic.

(55,524 posts)Hands Off in April had over 4 million. NO KINGS June 14th had over 9 million. NO KINGS Oct 18 had over 11 million. Whatever number the MSM gives, multiply it by 33% and that is the more accurate estimate.
I keep track of this stuff with people who know from experience at estimating figures accurately. Mathematicians have said there are always more than what is estimated by "whoever" with a microphone and an audience.
Dave says
(5,468 posts)Simply multiplying 33% reduces the estimate. Say 9 million was estimated. Multiplying it by 33% yields a final number of 3 million. Adding 33% yields 12 million.

(34,344 posts)This time there were five total. ~10 K for just the main one is the updated version so far. They are still counting. But if you register it helps keep count too...whether you go or not. We can show support that way, too.
