Florida is an intensely corrupt environment politically, so... Someone there supported/supports the likes of DeSantis. Can that faction be defanged?

an amendment to allow felons to vote after they had served their sentences. Then DeSantis and the Republicans made it so that they had to pay off their fines too. Then they made it very difficult for people to find exactly how much they owed.
Mayor Bloomberg paid for thousands of people's fines. The rate of felony convictions for people of color is two to three times higher.

If these people could be re-enfranchised like the voters wanted it seems to me that the Democratic party in Florida could well win the governor's office.

that they were leaving loopholes you could fly a 747 through, yet they did nothing.

Shot in the foot again.

however there are still almost a million more. And the state of Florida is making it difficult to even find out how much each person owes.

become over time. Jolly is sharp and may appeal to disgruntled Repugs. Much of his appeal with Repugs I've spoken with depends on how "authentic" Jolly appears to be. Believe he's smart enough not to talk down to them.

Maybe it's sheer optimism, but I've sensed a few cracks in the MAGA bluster as future uncertainty (social security, SNAP, Medicaid, the economy, jobs, treatment of farmers) grows.
