7. The following Republicans have called on Johnson to reconvene the House

but he clearly doesn't care. It may get to the point where Johnson won't call the House back to session because he know if he does, he'll be removed as Speaker.

4. Why do they need 8 more Republicans?

Don't they just need a simple majority to remove him? If all Democrats voted to remove, then I think they would only need 3 Republicans to vote to remove for a majority. I must be missing something.

5. I did a google. In Jan 2025 they raised the requirement to 9 members of the party in the majority

to call for a removal.
