Trump has issued a terrifying threat to keep ordering deadly strikes against his enemies with absolutely no legal authority.
Asked whether he would seek congressional approval or a formal declaration of war in order to give plausible legal cover for the assassinations, he said: Were going to kill them. Theyre going to be, like, dead.
Speaking to reporters during a news conference at the White House on Thursday, the president continued: I dont think were necessarily going to ask for a declaration of war, I think were just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country, Trump said.

(6,680 posts)Were just going to kill people. How can anyone be ok with that statement?
PatSeg
(53,540 posts)he says the quiet parts out loud. He's not afraid of anything or anyone now except maybe for Putin, but the power has gone to his head to such a degree that maybe even Putin doesn't scare him.
If there is anything he is afraid of, it is probably death and there's not a whole lot he can do about that regardless of how much power he has.

(53,540 posts)Who knows, maybe he DOES have a Dark Magician. When fighting off the grim reaper, people have been known to go to absurd extremes. He is definitely the type who would fall for such a con, especially if combined with over-the-top flattery.
I'm writing the script in my head!

They are a disgrace. As a retired Naval officer, I am ashamed the Navy so easily ignores law and kisses up to a dick taters.
They are in violation of international law and should be prosecuted.

(24,314 posts)There are people who would LOSE THEIR MINDS if anyone suggested that Trump "supported" Bin Salman's murder of Kashoggi, and especially its methodology.
But look at every comment Trump's made about the media, the whole "enemy of the people" thing, and his numerous calls for a violent response to the media at his MAGAt rallies.
WE ALREADY KNOW how much Trump "admires" Putin, Kim Jong Un, basically every authoritarian dictator who crosses his path. Trump hates journalists. Bin Salman had Kashoggi dismembered with a bone saw while he was still alive. Do the math...I think we have to conclude that Trump somehow "admired" that, in the same way that he probably "admired" Kim Jong Un murdering his own uncle with a gun designed to TAKE DOWN AN AIRCRAFT FROM THE SKY.
Then, of course, Trump addressing Bin Salman's involvement in the murder:
Trump bragged that he protected Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from congressional scrutiny after the brutal assassination of the American journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
*****
"The people at the Post are upset about the Khashoggi killing," Woodward told Trump on January 22, his book says. "That is one of the most gruesome things. You yourself have said."
"Yeah, but Iran is killing 36 people a day, so " Trump began, before Woodward redirected the conversation and continued to press Trump about MBS's role in ordering Khashoggi's killing.
"I saved his ass," Trump had said amid the US outcry following Khashoggi's murder, the book says. "I was able to get Congress to leave him alone. I was able to get them to stop."

(4,736 posts)... is imitating Rodrigo Duterte's policy toward drug dealers in the Philippines: extrajudicial summary executions with little or no evidence or justification. Duterte is currently in prison, I believe. Perhaps we can rendition Trump to the Philippines so he can share a cell with someone as repulsively evil as he is. Say, Rodrigo Duterte.

(12,786 posts)It is illegal to murder people even if they are drug runners.
I have been involved with drug interdiction in the Navy and we never murdered anyone.
As of 22 October, at least 37 people have been killed, seven in the Caribbean and two in the Pacific. The legality of the killings are seriously questionable under both US law and international law. Colombia and Venezuela have accused the US of extrajudicial murder.
Trump has turned the Navy into nothing more than his hitmen. Way to go South Com. It's a joint command and since Admiral Halsey is stepping down the Deputy Commander is Air Force Lt. Gen. Evan L. Pettus. He's an Arkansas native.
Just because Halsey is stepping down it doesn't relieve him of responsibility for violations of international law and murder. Maybe he refused and that's why they forced him out.
I wonder if Pettus is now the white guy in charge? But there are many more officers along the chain of command responsible for carrying out these murders and each one better watch out because they can be prosecuted. Just following orders is no excuse.

(77,855 posts)In the videos you can see those boats are outboard motor boats. How many hundreds of miles is
It from where those people were murdered by Trump is it just to American waters let alone to
American land? So are there floating gas stations that those boats can stop at to refuel?
These murders are all because Trump is scared shitless of being exposed as not only a child rapist
but as an active member of the Epstein and Putin international child sex trafficking ring.
