First there was Reagan, a B-list thespian that nearly wrecked the country. Now we have the fucking child rapist, who through that wad of fuck Mark Burnett gained national name recognition and is succeeding on wrecking the country. On the other hand, edgy comics such as Volodymyr Zelenskyy make excellent leaders because of their clear headed observations and wit thats not written for them.

(53,264 posts)He played a fictious role on The Apprentice and he got a taste for "acting". It appears that is when his public persona changed dramatically - he couldn't stop performing.
I've seen clips of him from the 1980s and 1990s and though I found him to be sleazy and creepy, he was soft spoken and fairly articulate. After The Apprentice, he became loud and buffoonish. Apparently he just couldn't quit that role, though I'm not sure if he knows the difference between role playing and reality. I think he lives in his own fictional reality where he can write the script.
