It's about the bunker

We now learn that beneath the now-destroyed White House East Wing is located the White House emergency bunker. The bunker is designed to withstand bombing, etc.; it's outfitted with highly specialized encrypted commo equipment and the like which enables the President to communicate with the Dept of Defense as well as with the Unified and Specified Commands worldwide (the war fighting commands). The bunker also has some level of survival food, etc.

The presence of the bunker has been publicized only over the past few days, leading to speculation that Trump intends to modify, possibly expand and harden the bunker complex just in case the peasants storm the place when he attempts to install himself as President For Life.

Somewhere deep in the recesses of my memory -- which at age going on 81 is not as sharp as it once was -- I seem to recall names such as Eva Braun, bunker, cyanide pill, a guy named Adolf ??? . . . . . . . . .

Where the ventilation system consisted of stacked coffee cans.

But, you know, Tantrum Tito has got to have the biggliest.

Anyone else thinking of “The Mask of the Red Death” this Halloween season?

Sorry, but I think the Hitler bunker callback, while entertaining, is a bit much.

White House occupants really do need some kind of safety egress or safe place to shelter. It's just common sense. It would not surprise me if part of the reason for the teardown of the East Wing was partly the result of Secret Service security analysis.

Apparently, the constant pressure had gotten to be too much for both of them, and one fine evening, they decided to sneak out for dinner in a nearby steak house well known for its low, discreet lighting.

Before they were recognized, they made their way to a discreet booth with dim lighting. A waiter, used to minimal interaction with his patrons, brought two menus and disappeared again. After nearly five minutes, he came back, and not even peering into the booth to see who his guests were, generically asked, “Have you found anything to your liking?”

Laura Bush spoke up and said,” yes, I’ll have the six ounce filet mignon, medium rare, with garlic mashed potatoes and a small side salad.”

“Excellent choice,” remarked the waiter. “And for your vegetable?”

Laura gave him back the menus, and said, “oh, he’ll have the same thing.”

The Presidential Emergency Operations Center or PEOC.
It's also where a famous child rapist briefly skittered off to as fast as his cankles could carry him during the George Floyd protests.

Although given his cankles and overall bad health, he may not be able to play that much longer.
