now we have to learn about, adapt to, or at least survive technofeudalism.

ON EDIT-I've ordered a book from one of our liege lords and will post more when I've been indoctrinated. It's title is-

that the Crusading Knights were really just the first form of modern corporation. They had the ability to move money like a banking system (through what amounted to promissory notes), goods, gold, contraband.

So the idea is not novel.
