For your consideration:

Bear with me if you please: when I was a fledgling dentist in center city Philadelphia, there was an individual who arguably was the most powerful autocrat in the profession, dean of a dental school, enormous international prestige, almost unbelievable and uncanny political skills, brilliant in his approach to handling almost any situation which presented itself. The guy was in his own particular way a genius and had spent a lifetime creating a scaffolding of support and obeisance which was impenetrable and it was professional suicide to go against this guy. Ruthless with a lifetime memory of being wronged perfectly describes his modus operandi.

Well, eventually…he died. And that whole system he created, all the do-loops and Venn diagrams were within weeks, GONE. with the exception of a few scholarships and a University chair endowments which nobody but nobody gives a damn about, it’s like he never existed.

Young dentists educated in Philly and the surround, maybe half know his name, virtually none of them recognize his enormous power within the profession. Such is the lifespan of the ruling class.

And this is what is going to happen to Orangina himself. He will have no legacy the way Saint Ronald apparently has no legacy which present-day Conservatives will acknowledge.

And then the real horrific stories will begin to emerge, and the pseudo-emperor-wannabe’s story will disappear into the mist of dead politics and some other jerkoff will emerge as the Savior of America. He always did and he always will. And it will always be a “he”. Make no mistake.

When is the last time you heard a Republican mention Nixon, Dole, Bush, Bush the Younger? Never. They never existed. They were fundamentally unappealing people whom they lionized temporarily and the same thing will happen with this guy. He will also become an Unmentionable.

there are usually a ton of Republican Candidate lawn signs in our neighborhood......last fall, I counted ONE in the entire neighborhood.
I am sure they are still Republicans, and still vote Republican, but are embarrassed for the public to see just how stupid they are..........

He inherited the business when his partner had an "incident" in prison.

He'll be as (un)remembered as Kenneth Lay, Bernie Madoff, and Earl Bradley (1)

When the Trump/Epstein blackmail empire is blown to bits, along with all its enablers, victims (I use the term loosely. They were scum.) and defenders (I mean you, Mike Johnson), the only good prospect is that the government having been destroyed, we get to rebuild it better.

(1) Earl who?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Bradley

Earl Brian Bradley (born May 10, 1953) is a former pediatrician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and convicted serial child rapist. He was indicted in 2010 on 471 charges of molesting, raping, and exploiting 103 child patients (102 girls and 1 boy).[3] Some of the victims were as young as three months old. He was charged in April 2010 with an additional 58 offenses in relation to the abuse of 24 additional victims. He has been described by a number of reputable news outlets and commentators as "the worst pedophile in American history

Eisenhower is still considered a good president and honored for his service and trying to help rebuild this country.

Of course there are some (D)emocratic presidents who may not have been considered particularly good chief executives and had their share of foibles. However, without feeling partisan prejudice, I do think Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy were strong leaders, trying to help this country and the people - not undercut democracy.

The problem as I see it is;
1. All of the time and effort that will be required to fix the damage he has done.

2. The billionaires that have taken advantage of the current situation, for example, the consolidation of power in regards to multimedia that has been and continues to be monopolized for political purposes. L.A. Times, Washington Post, CBS, Paramount Studios, CNN, Sinclair, etc.,etc.

3. The power that has been bestowed upon the Executive Branch. The term "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" comes to mind. With that position is well equipped law enforcement that answers to the President. It needs to be dissolved.

4. The lost trust from our allies.

5. The privatization of many of our institutions. Military, prisons, education, etc.

6.The dissolution of States rights.

7. The corruption of our highest court.

What is really astounding to me is how many books have been published about Orange Julius Caesar since 2016. I think many hundreds of more books will be written about him after his demise. It won't be a good legacy, but it will be a legacy. Future generations will be shocked and horrified by the Trump era and all the shit he got away with and how the Republican Party completely abdicated any sense of morality and duty and integrity and patriotism to kiss his ring.

I would say you are historically correct. However, at my age I hope to live long enough to see the damage stopped. Let alone undone. That isn't even considering the progress lost.
I don't understand what has happened to us. We sat there smoking and talking into the night of all changes we would make. How life would be better for our children. It was, I think, for a little bit. My grandchildren do not have the world that my children had.
We were so sure. . The music, the clothes just sitting around with friends and dreaming.
I guess we didn't protect it.
Now we have to hope the younger ones will save it. I don't know about that, they seem so money and fame motivated.
Times like this can break your heart.

Have statues erected by others in recognition of their contribution to the common good.

Trump is erecting a monument to himself on the site of one of his many desecrations.
