So Trump thinks a third run for president would be OK, despite being unconstitutional, but running as VP...which he could do legally...would be "too cute."Trump has not only refused to rule out running for the presidency again in 2028 but is now actively bragging about just how well hed do.
I would love to do it, the MAGA leader told reporters Monday aboard Air Force One, en route to Japan. I have my best numbers ever.
We have great people. I dont have to get into that, but we have one of them standing right here. We have, JD, obviously the vice president is great. Marcos great, he said.
But he also made it clear that if he did run again himself, theres no chance hed consider playing second fiddle. Yeah, Id be allowed to do that, he said of a prospective vice presidential run. I guess I think its too cute. Yeah, I would rule that out because its too cute. I think the people wouldnt like that. Its too cute. Its notit wouldnt be right.

(18,605 posts)"This week, as the Stormy Daniels hush money trial kicked off, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman noted the presence of a figure in court whose job responsibility sounded like a joke, writing that her job was to carry around a 'wireless printer' to provide the former president with an 'ongoing stream of good news from the internet.'"
"But it turns out that the aide is very real. Her name is Natalie Harp, a former One America News anchor who joined Trumps communications team in March 2022. According to reporting that year by the Washington Post, Harp would even accompany the former reality TV host on golf trips in a cart 'equipped with a laptop and sometimes a printer to show him uplifting news articles, online posts, or other materials.'"
"In Trumps chaotic inner circle, nothing is really surprising anymore but an employee tasked with printing out good news for the tech-phobic former head of state might just take the cake for an unintentional character study...Per WaPo, other aides were tasked with asking Trumps allies to call him and 'boost his spirits with positive affirmations.'"

Natalie Harp followed Trump to the White House when he was inauguarated again in 2025.

(5,269 posts)The VP candidate has to be constitutionally qualified to be President and Trump would not be having already served two terms.
This idea gets floated a lot and its still wrong.
