'Republicans are going to pay': Analyst warns of harm to 'tremendous' number of GOP voters

Why? Because (as I've written numerous times) contrary to popular belief, there are more Trump voters on the ACA, SNAP benefits, etc.etc. than anyone else.

'Republicans are going to pay': Analyst warns of harm to 'tremendous' number of GOP voters - Rawstory

A political analyst warned on Sunday that ..Donald Trump's decision not to backfill the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program with money the administration used to pay for military salaries during the government shutdown could harm a "tremendous" number of Trump voters and cause Republicans to "pay" at the polls in 2026.

"Donald Trump has said on many occasions that he is going to go after Democratic programs and programs that benefit people who vote for Democrats," McClendon said. "The problem is that you can't pick and choose who participates in a federal program based on their political affiliation.

"There are actually a tremendous number of Donald Trump supporters and voters who stand to see their healthcare premiums increase if these subsidies are not expanded," she added, referring to the Affordable Care Act subsidies that Democrats are pushing to extend as part of the government funding bill.

"They stand not to see access to SNAP benefits if they don't find the money for it," McClendon added. "I think Republicans are really going to pay for this during the midterm if they don't find money for this."

The cruelty is undeniable for any sane and normal person to see.

You would have to be an absolutely horrible human being to be ok with this.

...have both been outspoken about the cuts to the ACA and Medicaid, respectively. The Trump regime apparently has no idea how many of their supporters are on Federal benefits, or they simply don't care. MTG is pissed because the ACA cuts are going to hurt her own kids. That's what it usually takes for these people--only their suffering is legitimate; everyone else is unworthy.

They're going to regret this rhetoric. Steve Bannon recently mentioned how many of the MAGA chuds are on Medicaid. Knowing what we've seen of these chuds, it is pretty much guaranteed that a significant number of them are marginally and/or sporadically employed. They're going to lose their health care benefits as well...

The only variable is how free and fair they are. Protecting our election system is priority #1 IMO.

As long as we do that Trump can refuse to leave office in 2029 and white house security will just remove him.

If something goes well (well, it could some day), then it's Trump's doing. If a bunch of Trumpanzee voters suddenly can't afford food or medical care, it's the fault of Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and, of course, George Soros.

It's tough to pretend it's the Dems fault when the GOP holds ALL the cards. The sealions might argue that, and those who are already True Believers will believe, but as the fridges gets bare and the pocketbooks barren, the guys building ballrooms and out golfing will receive their 'recognition' when the bill comes due.
