(5,132 posts)Burgess was trying to make a point about society pathologises and tries to cure what is usually just a destructive phase for young men who don't have anything better to do because they live in a soulless emotionless environment. Left alone, he finds his own direction and loses the desire to break things and attack others.
At 79, I think we have to just accept that Donald Trump is an asshole and always will be.

They tried some type of inversion therapy or something, but his inner core remained.
Regardless, he, our clockwork orange, is the center, the eye, if you will, of a dangerous wind testing our roots.
Don't think he, nor his followers, are redeemable.
Those living in this storm can work to ameliorate, but it will take another generation to have cleared the debris to understand what to put up as safeguards.
