Glenn Beck says Trump told him the real reasons for the dramatic remodeling of the White House

Conservative anchor Glenn Beck claims that Donald Trump told him the real reason behind his controversial changes and expansion of the White House, amid criticism over the drastic remodeling project.

“It’s not because he likes gold; he’s doing it to project power and wealth," Beck said, speaking on a recent episode of The Glenn Beck Show.

The president’s plans for the historic East Wing, which has been partly demolished to make way for a lavish new $300 million ballroom, has been condemned by many, with First Lady Melania even having reportedly expressed disquiet.

Beck said he had discussed the ballroom plans with Trump in the “private quarters” of the White House during a recent visit, during which the president had revealed the reason for the remodel.

My brother and I were talking about this on the phone yesterday. Examples of people who have wealth and at least at one time, power and whose houses are nice, but nothing wildly extravagant:

Warren Buffett's home near the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I forgot the name of the area, but I've seen the house.

My brother used to have to drive by George Bush, Jr'.s house in TX on his way to work. Again, nice, but nothing that "projects" wealth and power.

I like what you said about how trump diminishes us because he doesn't understand how things work.

As sees the opulence of kings and princes in their palaces. He complained about this when he visited the Middle East earlier this year. He was treated to beautiful women whipping their hair at him and regretted he couldn’t treat his guests as well.

He probably thinks the White House is a dump (thus all the added gold frill recently) because he unequivocally and undeniably doesn’t get or understand the concept of America.
