Why competency matters

As trump is attempting to start a war with Venezuela, the need for level heads and recognition of the risks is imperative. He is insane and those around him must be competent but they are not. Backers of Venezuela include Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Syria, and Turkey.

Young people did not experience the Cold War and the knowledge that the world as we know it could end due to one stupid move. They need to learn that politics are not a game or sports - there are incredible consequences - MAGA young people most of all.

The 2000 film Thirteen Days is about the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis when this country faced the possibility of nuclear war on our land. We may exist today because we had intelligent, independent thinking people working on a solution. It is available for rent on the streaming services and those born after the Cold War and not having served in the military (they know) need to watch this event. It could happen again with a fool like trump, hegseth, et. al. in charge. We cannot be polarized on the issue of nuclear warfare and a lot of American voters need to grow up!
