Lawrence ODonnell tore into CNN for hiring someone who believes lying for Donald Trump on TV is an honorable pursuit.
Tom Sanders
MSNBC host Lawrence ODonnell launched a scathing critique of CNNs Scott Jennings, accusing the MAGA pundit of being a paid liar for Donald Trump and proof of the networks decline.
ODonnells take on CNNs stewardship under Trump-supporting CEO Mark Thompson singled out Jennings for his unscrupulous views.
Following the departure of veteran reporters such as Jim Acosta earlier this year, everyone who remains has become much more careful in anything they might even think of saying about Donald Trump, ODonnell said on The Last Word.
From that void emerged Jennings, he continued, who CNN eagerly pays to lie every day and every night for Donald Trump.

(278 posts)ODonnell let fly on the air,
At CNNs pundit with flair.
He said with a frown,
That networks gone down
Theyll pay for a lie without care!
Scott Jennings, a MAGA-tied name,
Was branded a Trumpster of shame.
His truth, Lawrence cried,
Is bought, not supplied
A torch for the liars flame!
With Acosta and veterans gone,
A hush fell where bold words shone.
Now anchors take care
With each thought they might share
Lest Trumps wrath descend at dawn.
Mark Thompson, once hailed as a pro,
Now steers where red winds blow.
From fairness they veer,
For Trumps crowd to cheer,
ODonnell said, down they go.
The Last Word lived up to its name,
As Lawrence delivered his flame.
Of CNNs plight,
He said, Day and night,
Theyre renting their truth for the game.

(1,640 posts)But it's somewhere in the vector of "Snarky"
Scotty's M-O is to answer questions that have not been asked, to change-the-subject, to answer questions with a question, to Gish-gallop, to flood the zone with what-about-isms, to talk-over other panelists ... ugh.
And that smirk on his face ... he doesn't believe a damn thing he's saying. He's there to toss-out half-baked notions in order to get people riled-up. That's why Mark Thompson/CNN pays him the big bucks.
By the way, have you ever seen the Scott-ster in a sit-down one-to-one with someone intelligent and articulate?
Yeah.
Me neither.

Jessica Tarlov shows signs of becoming the Jennings for our side. I'm rooting for her. I think O'Donnell, unfortunately, just serves up meatballs.
