Elon Musk may leave Tesla if shareholders do not vote through his $1tn (£750bn) pay package, the companys chairman has warned.
Robyn Denholm stressed that Tesla was at a critical inflection point ahead of a vote to approve the co-founders pay plan next week, which could make him the first trillionaire in history.
In an open letter, she wrote: If we fail to foster an environment that motivates Elon to achieve great things through an equitable pay-for-performance plan, we run the risk that he gives up his executive position, and Tesla may lose his time, talent and vision, which have been essential to delivering extraordinary shareholder returns.
Without Elon, Tesla could lose significant value, as our company may no longer be valued for what we aim to become.

(13,702 posts)He promised is self driving fully autonamous cars ten years ago. People have been paying for that feature for a long time and still don't have it. Musk has insisted that his ideas are the only valid ones in the industry and refuses to listen to any others. Then he fires any engineers who don't agree with him.
Get rid of him and the company will do better. He is nothing but a PR nightmare.

(18,605 posts)"I remember when I first bought Tesla stock and a car over a decade ago it was a bet on a cool electric car. Today...I see that bet evolving into something far more profound. Elon Musks Master Plan Part IV isnt just about selling cars or rockets; its about building an integrated, planet-wide system poised to reshape life for my kids generation."
"The company that started with a sports car is now, in Musks words, building 'a fundamental transformation for civilization as we know it' by creating a physical AI ecosystem. As an investor, Im struck by how this increases Teslas TAM (total addressable market) to essentially everything: transportation, logistics, labor, even home robotics."
