but all the ones I have followed over the years, I don't think I recall one that suddenly accelerated on the jet stream to 48 mph!

They usually speed up to maybe 25 - 30 mph but this one is like sprinter!

Over its lengthy journey it was stationary to 3mph for freaking days just below us.
