Dear MAGA: Answer just one question...

I have a college friend who loves Trump and any Republican, and hates Obama, Biden et al.

Smart! Has a medical degree! So do many of his friends.

You know “those” bogus emails that started flying during the Bush II years? Overwhelmingly, the ones I got came from him, all of them a Fwd, Fwd, Fwd, etc.

I’m thinking of throwing down on him, to answer one - JUST ONE - question:

“What is the ONE thing Trump has to do (or caught at) for you MAGA types to say, ENOUGH!! and turn you allegiance from him?”
At this point I can only think of one. And, like Trump, it’s vulgar.

Before I do, what would your response be?

Especially if you can group people into desirable and undesirables, then "other" the target groups.

The MAGA at work regularly justify eugenics - and locking away anyone they consider social undesirables. It always starts out with "Yeah, but, that group always defaults to [FITB criminal or undesirable behaviour] ..." or "I just don't agree that ....[some ridiculous hyperbolic claim] should be legal when other people have to follow the rules, because of something that happened 200 - 100 years ago and is now fixed..."
Or worse "We're the ones discriminated against now, after all the work our grandparents did to make this country what it is..."
It all ends with an unspoken "I don't like people that make me feel uncomfortable, so they're an enemy."
Their comments, "whataboutism" and narrow arguments are always framed to leave the impression they feel they have to banish their enemies from their lives to remain comfortable, they cannot show weakness - which is any mercy to those enemies.
Even if the enemy is a toddler - because they've already been ruined by their useless parents.
They are never inclusive outside their chosen cohorts. Their arguments are inevitably an exercise in "us against them" political discussions - no matter if it's the weather, a vacation trip, or something that is actually political.

Which pisses me off more than anything, because I have to use a "us against them" framework to describe them; there is no consideration of any humanity, of any grey when discussing situations where religion or politics can be inserted. While Conservatism is a justification for smug selfishness, MAGA is a cult.
If you aren't MAGA, you're the enemy.
