Every Sunday like a trigger, I look forward to the comics that he posted. It carried on my old ritual when newspapers were delivered on Sundays bloated from the coupons and advertisements and the first section I read was the comics.

I remember an old boyfriend observe that and asked me why I read the comics first. I said because I wanted to start the day with a smile.

SCE carried that tradition for me after my newspaper days ended right here on DU. One of my most favorite posters. Also, I think I have a GB of comics he shared that I've saved on my laptop over the past decade.

My wife and I looked forward to LOL cats every Sunday. It was a regular part of our lives. We were so sad to see SCE go. So glad Ralps is continuing the cats.

I haven’t been able to be online much these past few months. I was on DU briefly just quickly scrolling a few weeks ago and saw mention that SCE wasn’t well. I didn’t know that he had passed. He will be dearly missed. I loved his Sunday cartoons-always looked forward to them. Rest In Peace dear SCE.
