He says he got a drunken tattoo in Croatia that he didn’t know the background of. Then he was shit posting a bunch of stuff on Reddit and I don’t totally dismiss it but it’s really unfortunate that you have to watch what you say/post for your entire life if you want to run for anything! Now all we can ever get is boring buttoned down candidates that won’t rock the boat or say anything interesting- and apparently Donald Trump for some reason. . . . Like I said I don’t totally dismiss his actions but we all make mistakes and some of us grow up to be different people than when we were younger.

Plenty of people are able to post without being racist, antigay, misogynist or implying that killing people is an experience someone should aspire to. It's not hard!

Of course given Trump was elected maybe none of this matters anymore. Tell the story and the lies people want to hear and you are in. Really would like another Dem in the Senate but damn!

I don't think there is a vetting process required before someone can run in the Democratic primary.

This actually is a case where his Democratic opponents or the media did oppo research. At this point, the question is whether he can answer all of this and keep the support of voters.

That he is still standing suggests that he might be able to explain how these are things that no longer define him and that he is 180 degrees different. If so, it is still good all of this was found and answered long before the primary.

However, it seems those closest to him on the campaign are getting cold feet. I wonder if it just they do not see him winning or possibly they are questioning their own assessment of him.

14. EXCLUSIVE: Graham Platner's Treasurer Resigns
Sun Nov 2, 2025, 10:31 PM
Nov 2025

Snip***

News of the shake-up—which has not been previously reported—comes less than 48 hours after Platner’s finance director Ronald Holmes publicly resigned. On Friday morning, Holmes posted on LinkedIn that his “professional standards as a campaign professional no longer fully aligned with those of the campaign.”

Snip***

Perrone, whose firm earned buzz for its work with Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral run, and Brown, a veteran presidential campaign operative for Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama, were both hired to help Platner recover from his recent controversies, which have stymied his otherwise popular candidacy.

It seems Ronald Brown III and Valarie Perrone had been in the campaign long enough to form strong enough Opinions to want out.
