Why do democrats keep getting called "elitist"? This is an absolute bullshit label that was setup by propagandists like Rush Limbaugh, Jimmy Swaggert, and Bill O'Reilly, yet the lie keeps being peddled to this day. But that's just it - it's all a lie. With all groups, there's always some elitism. But it's not the be-all end-all of the group, not all elitists are democrats, but not all democrats are elitist.
Whereas *ALL* wealthy republicans are arrogant and elitist. They're the types to drive the extremely expensive fast cars, live in giant houses, belong to the country clubs, get their kids into the expensive upper class elementary and middle schools, own handbags and watches that cost more than your car, and so on. They're the ones who voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump.
But there was no bigger display of grotesque and extreme wealth, arrogance, and elitism than what happened at Mar-A-Lago last weekend. Remember the old days when CEOs from companies like Enron and Adelphia stole money from their companies and threw that party in Greece on a private island where they drank ice out of sculpted penis statues? This party tops all of that. This was the biggest, most grotesque display of wealth, arrogance and elitism not seen in like half a century and it was coming from a guy who is the president of the United States. This was absolutely Marie Antoinette level elitism. Plus the extremely tacky renovations that the toddler in chief is making to the White House just scream "elitism".
He throws this gigantic party where it was literally a slap in the face to the nearly 40 million Americans who are losing money because of this ridiculous shut down caused by the Fox News MAGA Congress, who is throwing the world's longest toddler temper tantrum and carrying it out as long as possible because it looks good to the idiots who still watch Fox 24/7. Mike Johnson is holding daily briefings like it's open mic night at the comedy club. It's time to end this.
Meanwhile - four people control more wealth than half the world combined. 4. They have well over a trillion dollars between the four of them. You know who they are - Elon Musk, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos. And they just want more. Two of these guys have large stakes in the media and control a lot of the information we see and hear, and they're about to get even bigger stakes when these mega mergers go through. They want it all for themselves. What the hell do you need half a trillion dollars for? What possible use could you have for that money? And we're all going broke and penniless because of this.
So here's what needs to happen - the democrats need to take back the "elitism" talking point. Democrats should advertise that we're for the people. Donald Trump is for the millionaires and billionaires. Use footage of that disgusting display at Mar-A-Lago for campaign advertisements. Paint the republicans as the real elitists. Obama wanted to be seen with the people. Trump only wants to be seen at his crappy golf courses and hotels. Democrats are the party for the people. Trump and the MAGA Congress don't care about anyone but themselves and say "let them eat food stamps".

When both the LA Times and WaPo were hostily blocked from endorsing Harris. That was my first red flag that something was really wrong and the shit was about to hit the fan. Fuck Patrick Soon-Shiongh and Jeff Bezos for eternity.
